Although a burn ban restricts home owners from shooting their own fireworks at their custom homes in Austin, there are still many opportunities to celebrate Independence Day by seeing various fireworks displays in or around Austin. Ring in the Fourth by attending one of these public fireworks displays or events.

Within the city of Austin, there will be two public firework shows. One is at The Long Center where the Austin Symphony Orchestra will play patriotic pieces as the fireworks illuminate the Austin sky. There’s plenty of space to catch a great view, but if you want to hear the music get to Auditorium Shores early to claim your spot. The music and fireworks will take place from 8:30 to 10:00pm.

The other fireworks display in Austin will be at Carlos & Charlie’s on Lake Travis. Live music will be provided from a 1980’s cover band, there’s free admission, and gates open at 6:00pm.

Leander will be hosting two Fourth of July events. An Independence Day celebration will take place at Volente Beach featuring a fireworks show. Admission is free before 8:00pm and $5 after 8:00pm. Liberty Fest, at the H-E-B Plus at 651 U.S. Hwy 79, will feature live music and fireworks. It’s free and open to the public, and it will last from 6:00pm to 10:00pm.

Round Rock’s Frontier Days parade will begin at 10:00am and run till noon. The carnival will continue at Old Settler’s Park. Fireworks will begin at 9:30pm. Admission is free.

Pflugerville’s Pfirecraker Pfestival will be from 4:00pm to 11:30pm on the shores of Lake Pflugerville. Admission is free and the fireworks will begin at 9:15pm.
