Although our day to day business focuses mainly on architecture and design, we believe that custom home builders in Austin need to be well versed in other areas of art and design as well. There’s a definite correlation among all types of artistic design and style, and for this reason, we are very excited about the 4th annual Austin Fashion Week.

Austin Fashion Week kicks off at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum as Anita Perry, First Lady of Texas, opens “Shift Into Style” presented by Circuit of the Americas. This event will bring together the best of fashion, motorsports, and food to highlight the fashion and style of Formula One racing. During this event, menswear from Keepers, sportswear from Ferrari, evening-apparel from The Dane’s Collection, and race wear from Linda Asaf will be featured. Be sure to try some of the complimentary cuisine prepared by Parkside, Olive & June, Backspace, Trulucks, Iron Cactus, Siena and Sentelli’s. Tickets can be purchased here, and proceeds will benefit Seton Breast Cancer Center, Dell Children’s Blood and Cancer Center and the Arc of the Capital Area.

Be sure to check out the other events taking place during Austin Fashion Week at local malls and shopping districts. One other event you can’t miss is Driskell Runways & Marketplace at the historic Driskill Hotel. We would also like to wish the best of luck to all those nominated for the Trailblazer Award and Rising Stars Awards. We will get to see who come out on top at the Austin Fashion Awards on August 18th!

While you are discovering all the new trends in fashion, be thinking of how you can take those styles and bring them into the design of your custom homes in Austin.
