Guess who is coming to entertain Austin? Norah Jones will perform on May 1st at Stubb’s BBQ at 801 Red River. Known for her smooth jazzy voice, this musician (piano, keyboard, guitar) is the recipient of multiple Grammy awards and has recently released her fourth album.
Carrie Underwood will make a stop in Austin, as well! The fourth season American Idol winner and recipient of the 2010 Entertainer of the year is also nominated for 3 CMT videos. This country music singer and songwriter will grace the capitol city on May 12th at the Frank Erwin Center.
Ranked #11 for best outdoor city Austin is host to a variety of runs, including the Schlotzky’s Bun Run, upcoming on May 2nd. The longest running (no pun intended) 5k run also sponsors a Li’l Bun Run to be held on May 1st.
May 8, ushers in Chuy’s 27th annual Hot to Trot 5k and Kid k run which benefits Special Olympics Texas. The run begins at Chuy’s Arbor Trail @ 4301 West William Cannon.
