Austin FireworksIndependence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, picnics, concerts, baseball games and other festivities and celebrations. Your premier Austin custom homebuilder, Sterling Custom Homes, would like for you to take a look at just a few of the many events offered in Austin this upcoming Fourth of July.

Thursday, July 4th @ 8 PM join others along the East Riverside Corridor at the hottest bar-coffee shop-barbecue-stop that opened in late 2012.  Touted as family friendly, The Buzz Mill, located at 1505 Town Creek Drive, will feature Austin’s own Union Specific for a night of Blue Ox BBQ and a view of the fireworks.

Attend the showing of Independence Day @ 8:45 PM at Austin’s one and only drive-in movie theatre, the Blue Starlite Drive-In III at Old Airport, 1901 E. 51st St.  Also enjoy the patented on-screen cinematic fireworks display before and after the movie.

The Hill Country Galleria in Bee Cave is hosting an Independence Day Festival from 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM with over 120 art vendors, international food vendor, festival treats and local Austin food Trucks.  True to Austin, there will be live music by the talents of local performers Guy Forsyth, The Band of Heathens, White Ghost Shivers, Milk Drive, Rebecca Butler & The Richards and the Ghosts Along the Brazos.

The Austin Symphony Orchestra will perform at Central Texas’ largest fireworks display at Auditorium Shores, downtown Austin.  The orchestra plays at 7:00 PM, fireworks begin at 9:45 PM.   Enjoy an evening of food, drinks, arts, crafts and family fun.  Visit www.roadwayevents.com for more information.

July 4th could never be complete without baseball.  Join the Round Rock Express as they host the Oklahoma Storm Chasers at 7:00 PM at Dell Diamond.  Don’t rush home after the game, stay around for the post game Independence Day fireworks.

Whether your Independence Day takes you to local museums, Barton Springs, at home gatherings or any of the many outdoor festivities offered, we hope you enjoy the unique atmosphere of Austin and take some time to appreciate our precious freedom.
