The first thing someone sees when they walk up to your home is your front entry. It is also the last thing they see when they leave your home. Which makes choosing the right front entry one of the first and most important decisions to make when building or remodeling your Austin custom home.
There are many factors you should consider when choosing a front entry. The type of door, the design and the manufacturer are just a few.
There are many benefits to choosing an iron door. Iron doors don’t crack, rot, warp or swell. These are long term maintenance decisions you are making before you even build your home. Iron doors are easy to care for. Please see our cleaning instructions below.
The design you choose on your front door can dictate what you do throughout the entire home. Whether it is a contemporary pivot hinge door or an oversized Mediterranean style entry, Cantera Doors custom makes each and every door to the exact specifications the customer chooses.

How To Care For Your Iron Door:
To clean a Cantera Door please first remove all dust or excess dirt using a soft brush. Remove dust from the top to the bottom of the door on stile and ironwork. Doors should be cleaned using a soft, clean grit-free cloth and water. Clean doors in a circular scrubbing motion; when using a specialty cleaner follow manufacturers instructions, always test a small area before applying over the entire surface.
Do not use solvents as paint thinner, or abrasive removers. By using these products you will wipe faux finish and paint off the doors.
Pressure hose cleaning is NOT recommended as it may affect weather-stripping and sealing of your doors.
