In the “Live Music Capital of the World,” it’s not surprising that many buyers of Luxury homes in Austin are also ardent supporters of the arts. That’s why we thought you would want to know that The Hartman Foundation Concerts in the Park is winding down this month.
The eighth annual free summer concert series is intended as thank you to the city for its support of the Austin Symphony Orchestra and as a reminder of times past when towns folk gathered to hear live music. Ensembles from the Austin Symphony Orchestra have played each Sunday night this summer, as families have enjoyed picnics, children have danced and passers-by have stopped to take in the atmosphere.
Still to come in the series’ final weeks are a variety of musical styles. August 15th will feature a bold brass ensemble, followed by soft, airy woodwinds on August 22, and finishing up with a lively big band sound on August 29.
The hour-long concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. They are held at the new Hartman Park, located on the grounds of the Long Center for the Performing Arts. Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic and lots of friends for a special outing. Free parking is available at One Texas Center, located at Barton Road and S. 1st Street. Paid parking costs $7 at the Palmer Garage.
Thank you for making Austin such a unique city for music, and for trusting your custom home building needs to Sterling Custom Homes. We wish you a safe and happy rest of the summer.
