As you are well aware, Austin is quite the eclectic city. From the beautiful architecture of the custom homes in Austin, to the art houses, live music, and tech industry, Austin’s got a little taste of everything. Although the growth of the interactive, film, and music industries might be top-of-mind (thanks SXSW!), I’m going to remind you of the large food and beverage industry that Austin has to offer. And what better way to highlight this industry than two weeks dedicated to Austin’s Culinary Arts.

Austin Restaurant Week will take place and at wide variety of Austin restaurants March 26th-28th and April 1st-4th. A complete list of participating restaurants can be found on Austin Restaurant Week’s website. Each restaurant is encouraged to have their chefs prepare lunch, dinner, and brunch menu options. The lunch menus will feature two- courses and will range in price from $11 to $16. Three-course pri-fixe dinners will be in the $26-$36 price range. Brunch items will be $16.

When searching for participating restaurants, you will be able to view what each restaurant will be serving for each meal. Keep an eye out for the link to make your reservation at selected restaurants. Austin Restaurant Week has created an app for smart phones and tablets and it is now available at your app store.

The best part about Austin Restaurant Week is that the proceeds of the event will go to Meals on Wheels! Not only will you provide yourself with a fantastic meal, but you’ll be providing meals for others, too. It’s a win-win. I’ll eat to that!

Your custom home builder of Austin encourages you to go out and support a great cause while discovering the best food this city has to offer! Which restaurant’s dining experience are you most excited about during Austin Restaurant Week?
