Owners of Luxury Homes in Austin know the importance of interior design. Custom cabinetry, granite countertops, hardwood flooring and fine finishes combine to turn home interiors into works of art; but what about taking that design outdoors to turn your landscape into an artful oasis? If you want to express your creativity, but don’t know where to start, come to the Texas Folklife Yard Show exhibit to get some ideas.
Organized by Texas Folklife and the San Angelo Museum of Fine Art, the Texas Folklife Yard Show exhibit will be on display at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and the McDermott Learning Center from Sept. 4 to Dec. 5. The exhibit, based on landscape designer Jill Nokes’ book, “Yard Art and Handmade Places,” will showcase yard art such as “The Sporting Life” by Vince Hannemann, photos of yard art projects and decorative bird houses.
The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center’s mission is to increase the sustainable use and conservation of native wildflowers, plants and landscapes.
