We are fortunate to have seven custom new homes in Austin under construction now, with the opportunity for even more projects in the near future.

I am often asked: “How does Sterling Custom Homes remain so busy in such difficult economic times?

My response is simple – We are blessed. We are blessed to have earned the trust and confidence of so many great people over the years. Since our inception in 1989, we have always strived to treat our clients with the highest level of integrity and professionalism. Doing the right thing is not always the easiest, least expensive route to take, but our clients have come to appreciate the peace of mind that comes from knowing that their builder is focused on meeting challenges head-on and making the tough decisions with their best interests in mind.

In this difficult economic climate, we have also found that clients are more diligent in researching and choosing their builder. The risk associated with hiring a builder with financial issues far outweighs any perceived cost savings. Our clients are smart, they do their homework, and this market reality drives more business to our company.

Competitive pricing is also a factor in remaining so busy. We employ a full-time Purchasing Manager who is constantly searching for the best values possible in each facet of home construction. It’s important to note that “best value” does not always mean lowest price. We have strict quality standards that must be met and we’re careful not to sacrifice quality for price.

Our labor sub-contractors have come to know that working with Texas custom home builder Sterling Custom Homes will keep them busy in good times and in bad. We pay our sub-contractors on a weekly basis, not monthly (or worse!). For those reasons, we are able to negotiate preferred labor rates from the most talented craftsmen in the area – passing those savings on to our clients.

So thank you Austin, Texas for the confidence you continue to show in our company. We look forward to being your premier custom home builder for years to come!
