Sterling Custom Homes has been hard at work since 1989 to earn them their esteemed reputation of exceptional service in the custom home building industry.
The Sterling management team has a combined construction experience total of over 100 years. In addition, Duke McDowell and Bruce Herve are Certified Graduate Builders (CGB). Duke also has his Graduate Master Builder (GMB) certification. These certifications from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) require that graduates meet prescribed standards of business practices, have proven track records of successful project management, completed a comprehensive education curriculum and have continued their education through approved NAHB courses.
In fact, the NAHB believes that these designations “provide benchmarks of business achievement that consumers can use to measure builders.” And that “when you hire a CGB or GMB, you can expect an experienced builder committed to delivering a quality product” because it shows “someone who is truly committed to the profession – and that could make the difference in a better house.”

Duke McDowell, President of Sterling Custom Homes, personally walks every job site on a regular basis during the construction process.
In a weekly construction meeting, the entire Sterling staff gathers to discuss the status of each project and, from a team perspective, troubleshoot any problems that have arisen. In fact, both during and after the construction process, attention is given to even the smallest detail. Warranty items, in addition, are promptly and professionally addressed by our in-house Warranty Manager.
Not only has our commitment to customer care earned us a sterling reputation in our industry and community, but it has also generated an exceptionally high level of customer satisfaction.
