Your Builder is the Glue that Holds the Entire Process Together

Your builder can guide you through the design process while paying special attention to the costs associated with certain design features, house placement, material costs, etc.

When venturing into the realm of the custom home building process, it’s important for clients to pull together their “team” from the very start. While this team may include everyone from an architect to a builder, an interior designer to a financial lender, we council clients and Realtors on the importance of choosing their builder first. Why? Because builders wear many hats throughout the home buying and building process. They can advise you on lot placement, structural and design features, material selections and help you stick to a budget. They may even be able to recommend some quality lenders to make the process easier.

While the other members of your team are experts in their respective subject matter, your builder is the glue that holds the whole process together. Make sure to research your builder thoroughly before beginning your custom home building journey. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how great the other members of your team are if your builder can’t execute your home properly. Selecting your builder first allows you to leverage his expertise and paves the way to a more enjoyable building experience with no surprises and hiccups along the way.
