Well summer was fun, but now it’s time to welcome fall and all of the fun festivals near our Austin luxury real estate that the season brings with it. The Pecan Street Festival returns to Austin on Saturday, Sept. 24 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 25 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
For 30 years this FREE family event has been an Austin tradition, delighting festival goers with arts and crafts, music, special exhibits and food vendors showcasing international, gourmet and healthy cuisine. More than 600 artisans and performing artists will delight and entertain crowds as you and your family take in all the sights and sounds.
Those interested in the musical offerings will be pleased to hear that there are three stages to entertain you. All performers are up-and-coming, local artists that showcase some of the best talent in Austin.
If you’re looking for something unique, then there are three special exhibits that you’ll want to check out. The LEGO® Experience Tour lets children and adults alike participate in hands-on, fun team building games, challenges and inspiration models. Doc Seaton’s Magic Side Show boasts two tents full of exciting stage performances as well as magic, juggling, comedy and other circus acts, impromptu performances, activities and food booths. And, men can get spruced up for that special someone at the Wahl’s Face of the Day Tour with free trims, shaves and grooming tips.
Plus, with both arts and crafts booths and commercial vendors featuring apparel, home décor, jewelry, metal art, children’s products, furniture, health and wellness products, toys, woodworks and more, even the most enthusiastic shopper will be entertained.
And, it’s OK to let your family’s big spender go wild. Proceeds from the Pecan Street Festival benefit several local non-profit organizations including Austin Habitat for Humanity, Austin Blues Society, Austin Boxer Rescue, Austin Pets Alive, The Knights of Columbus, Bowie High School Girls Lacrosse and the City of Austin.
